Open Access<\/h2>\n

All publications are always published Open Access in digital form<\/strong> on the online publication system OPEN FAU<\/a> repository and are available to the worldwide community free of charge as open access publications.<\/p>\n

If a\u00a0print publication is also required,<\/strong> FAU<\/abbr> University Press commissions selected print-on-demand printers to publish high quality, small print runs at an affordable price. Due to the requirements of the General Doctoral Regulations, FAU<\/abbr> University Press unfortunately always has to publish dissertations in hybrid form, digitally and<\/span> in print.<\/p>\n

Publication series<\/h2>\n

Papers by FAU<\/abbr> researchers, postdoctoral dissertations and other dissertations awarded the grade \u2018summa cum laude\u2019 are published in the FAU<\/abbr> Forschungen series. This series has two categories: FAU<\/abbr> Forschungen, Reihe A, Geisteswissenschaften for publications in the fields of the humanities and FAU<\/abbr> Forschungen, Reihe B, Medizin, Naturwissenschaft, Technik for publications in the fields of medicine, natural sciences and technology. The Academic Advisory Board of FAU<\/abbr> University Press decides which papers should be published as part of the FAU<\/abbr> Forschungen series.<\/p>\n

The series FAU<\/abbr> Studien also has several categories. Doctoral dissertations and Magister theses must be recommended by the supervising professor and the book series editors of the chosen FAU<\/abbr> Studien before they can be included.<\/p>\n

In addition, FAU<\/abbr> University Press also publishes individual titles, such as conference volumes and exhibition catalogues, which do not do form part of any series.<\/p>\n

Dissertationen m\u00fcssen bei FAU University Press aufgrund der Vorgaben der Rahmenpromotionsordnung aktuell leider immer hybrid, das hei\u00dft digital und gedruckt, ver\u00f6ffentlicht.<\/p>

Produktlinien<\/h2>

In der Linie \u201cFAU Forschungen\u201d werden Werke von Forschenden der FAU, Habilitationsschriften sowie Dissertationen mit dem Pr\u00e4dikat \u201csumma cum laude\u201d publiziert. Die Ver\u00f6ffentlichungen sind thematisch den Reihen \u201cFAU Forschungen, Reihe A, Geisteswissenschaften\u201d und \u201cFAU Forschungen, Reihe B, Medizin, Naturwissenschaft, Technik\u201d zugeordnet. Der Wissenschaftliche Beirat der FAU University Press entscheidet \u00fcber die Aufnahme einer Schrift in die \u201cFAU Forschungen\u201d.<\/p>

Auch die Linie \u201cFAU Studien\u201d ist in Reihen gegliedert. F\u00fcr die Aufnahme von Dissertationen und Magisterarbeiten ist eine Empfehlung des jeweiligen betreuenden Lehrstuhlinhabers und der Herausgeberin oder des Herausgebers der gew\u00fcnschten \u201cFAU Studien\u201d erforderlich.<\/p>

Dar\u00fcber hinaus ver\u00f6ffentlichen wir auch Einzeltitel wie zum Beispiel Tagungsb\u00e4nde oder Ausstellungskataloge au\u00dferhalb der Reihen.<\/p>
