In the development of the single-source software\u00a0OS<\/abbr>–APS<\/abbr>, which is being funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research\u00a0BMBF<\/abbr>\u00a0for a second term, the completion of a new software version was announced at the turn of the year. Compared to the previous version, this release includes several significant innovations and newly developed functionalities, such as the ability to configure the front and back sections of manuscripts.<\/p>\n

A new journal template and a new template configuration have also been introduced, allowing metadata like title, author, and\u00a0DOI<\/abbr>\u00a0to be stored. Additionally, a theme color for the article can be selected here. In the advanced settings of the template configuration, users can modify article formatting, such as page margins and layout. Furthermore, it is now possible to export EPUB files. Functionalities for handling monographs are still under development.<\/p>\n

In der Entwicklung der Single Source Software\u00a0OS<\/abbr>-APS<\/abbr>, die vom\u00a0BMBF<\/abbr>\u00a0bereits in zweiter Laufzeit gef\u00f6rdert wird, konnte die Fertigstellung einer neuen Softwareversion zum Jahreswechsel vermeldet werden. Diese enth\u00e4lt im Vergleich zur vorherigen Version einige wesentliche Neuerungen und neu entwickelte Funktionalit\u00e4ten, zum Beispiel die M\u00f6glichkeit \u00dcberschriften und den Haupttext des Manuskripts einzurichten.<\/p>

Es gibt eine neue Journal-Vorlage sowie eine neue Vorlagenkonfiguration, in der Metadaten wie Titel, Autor und\u00a0DOI<\/abbr>\u00a0hinterlegt werden k\u00f6nnen. Hier kann auch eine Themenfarbe f\u00fcr den Artikel ausgew\u00e4hlt werden. Des Weiteren kann man in den erweiterten Einstellungen der Vorlagenkonfiguration Formatierungen des Artikels wie Seitenr\u00e4nder oder Format \u00e4ndern. Au\u00dferdem ist es ab sofort m\u00f6glich EPUBs zu exportieren. Noch zu entwickeln sind Funktionalit\u00e4ten hinsichtlich der Formatierung von Monographien.<\/p>
