Hydraulic systems, as they are common in most machines today, are always associated with leakage. An example of these, widely used in industry, is the diaphragm positive displacement pump. Because the actors have to operate quickly, this type of pump is a particularly critical case as it reaches a high technical complexity, through the processing of small volumes. As a result, errors occurring in the leak supplementation can result in a complete failure of the system. Current solutions are unable to guarantee complete reliability. To eliminate this source of failure, the aim was to develop a condition monitoring system, followed by a specific control unit.<\/p>\n
A detailed examination of the occurring leakage was done, followed by a selection of possible actors that are appropriate for short time actions. Both included extensive theoretical models for the leakage, the actor and the controller proven by empirical investigations.<\/p>\n
This research provided valuable information regarding the control of a leaking hydraulic system, which can be applied on other cases, to increase process reliability.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
