Peter Mayers exhibition catalogue talking shoes comprises collage works from the years 2015 to 2020. These works are based on archives of collected writings, diary entries, comic strips, photographs and negatives, objects found on travels, and own photographs, as well as about 400 Polaroid photos taken in a shoe shop. The multitude of materials is experimentally and playfully reworked and intuitively reassembled.<\/p>\n
This artistic-aesthetic enquiry leads to a re-signification of those elements. The artist transforms the material into a meta-level of fictitious narratives and thus creates new sensory realms of ideas. Everything seems to be in constant flow.
