To face that, correctives such as lightweight material construction or form lightweight construction are used. For the production of car body components without failure or defects in deep drawing, drawbeads among other things are used. These are cylinder-like indentations in the flange area to control the material flow, whereas there is a lack of a broad understanding of the effect of a drawbead on the mechanical and tribological system. Subsequently, the overall objective of the work was to work out an integrally understanding of the process and to evaluate and increase the prediction accuracy for deep drawing processes with drawbeads for three different materials. Therefore, systematically derived methodical steps were used in two stages on the basis of the model test \u201cstrip drawing with drawbeads\u201d and a deep drawing setup with drawbeads. The work is focused on the qualification of suitable measurement methods, such as an optical in-situ strain measurement, in order to carry out a multilevel process analysis and to derive correlations. Furthermore, the simulation accuracy was evaluated on the basis of experimental measurements and the quality of the prediction was improved by transferring the findings. Within the scope of a validation on deepdrawn components, the findings could be transferred and also additionally differentiated for linear and convex drawbeads.
