The publication comprises of a transcription of the synodal sermon Diliges Dominum Deum delivered by Jan Hus at the Archdiocese of Prague Synod held in 1405 and a study discussing its content and the historical context in which it was produced. The study emphasizes especially the sermon's relationship to Wycliffe's ecclesiological views and compares its content with the synodal sermons of other authors delivered before Hus' performance. Attention is also paid to the formal aspects of Hus' sermon and its possible associations with the contemporary artes predicandi as well as with the other synodal sermons delivered at the Archdiocese of Prague Synod.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
