The corpus-based study determines and characterizes on the one hand, in terms of the paradigmatic axis, factors of the adjective formed with \"mehr\" in comparative constructions of the inequality relation. On the other hand, the syntagmatic perspective of such comparative constructions with analytically compared adjectives provides information about syntactic and topological behavior as well as semantic and formal aspects of the individual comparison components within the comparative structure. The expanded view based on the sentence carrying the comparative and its pretext also reveals connections between the elements of the comparative construction and those of the textual environment. The comparative construction with \"less\" and the variant synthetically formed with the comparative morphem \"-er\", both well established in standard language, serve as a comparison foil for the analytical comparative with \"mehr\".<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
