The catalogue presents the art collection of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universit\u00e4t Erlangen-N\u00fcrnberg (FAU), which came to Erlangen thanks to the funding by the 'Art in Architecture' program of the Free State of Bavaria. In addition, works of art are also documented that have passed from original margravial ownership into the responsibility of the university, as well as selected works from the field of applied arts that have decorated or still decorate the interiors of institute buildings.
