In recent years, environmentally friendly products and a sustainable production have become increasingly important in our society. As a result, it is important to avoid rejects due to quality defects producing car body parts using forming technology. Causal for the occurrence of quality defects include fluctuations of the properties of semi-finished products, which influence the forming process but are not sufficiently considered in the design of car body parts. One reason for this is that fluctuations regarding the semi-finished product properties which influences friction has not yet been sufficiently investigated. The aim of the work is therefore to develop a comprehensive understanding of the process, from which a method for considering fluctuations regarding the for the tribology relevant semi-finished product properties in the forming production of car body parts in the series process is derived. For this purpose, inline measuring systems are first qualified, which are used to record the semi-finished product properties on the running strip. Following a characterization of the fluctuations, the findings are used for numerical investigations and validated using real car body parts from the series production process. The investigations show that the friction behaviour is essentially influenced by an inhomogeneous lubricant distribution on the surface of the semi-finished product. The consideration of the real tribological conditions present in the series production process therefore leads to an improvement in the prediction accuracy in the forming simulation.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
